Smooth-billed Ani

ABA 3

(Crotophaga ani)

Smooth-billed Ani is an uncommon species in the United States.  In 2007 a small group was resident in a neighborhood adjacent to the Fort Lauderdale, FL airport.  None were been reliably found until in June 2015 a pair was discovered nesting at Loxahatchee NWR in Boynton Beach, FL. This pair is still present, although the nest site has changed.
