Black-bellied Whistling Duck

Black-bellied Whistling Duck has a limited North American range, occurring locally in south Florida, southern Texas, and southern Arizona.  True to its name, it has a high-pitched whistling call, often heard in flight.

    We have several of these Ducks in Pass Christian Mississippi. They showed up summer 2017.

    We have many of these ducks in ponds and wetlands in Viera, Florida. Mid- winter/early spring. Very attractive, colorful, goose-like, and plentiful.
