Snow Goose

ABA 1

(Anser caerulescens - formerly Chen caerulescens)

Often occurring together with its similarly white but smaller cousin, Ross’s Goose, Snow Goose has a larger head, and a longer and stouter bill.  Although a preponderance of individuals are white, both species also occur in a less abundant blue morph, as well as intermediate forms.
