Grasshopper Sparrow

ABA 1

(Ammodramus savannarum)

Reclusive, but perhaps the least so of the original seven members of the Ammodramus genus, and also with the widest range of this group, Grasshopper Sparrow favors dense grass and is readily recognized by its white eye ring. As of June, 2017 it is the only remaining member of the Ammodramus genus.
