Great Frigatebird

(Fregata minor)

Great Frigatebird might be thought of as the open Pacific Ocean counterpart to the Magnificent Frigatebird familiar in Florida, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Their ranges do not overlap. In the U.S. range is limited just to Hawaii. Males have a cloak of green feathers extending from the nape onto the back.
