Black Rosy-Finch

ABA 2

(Leucosticte atrata)

Black Rosy-Finch is a high-altitude breeder and rarely seen because of its inaccessibility. Males are striking with black body, gray head band, and contrasting bright pink on the wings and belly.  The bill is yellow in the winter, but turns black during breeding season.
