Ivory Gull

ABA 3

(Pagophila eburnea)

The beautiful, pristine white Ivory Gull is a rare visitor to the United States from the high arctic. When one is seen every few years it causes a stir and is sure to attract eager observers from far and wide. This one appeared along the Mississippi River on January 2, 2015 in Quincy, Illinois, and stayed for one week.
