Northern Goshawk

ABA 1

(Accipiter gentilis)

The largest of the three North American accipiters, Northern Goshawk is also the least frequently seen.  It usually appears out of nowhere and is gone just as quickly. It has uncanny ability to navigate at full speed through dense forest tangles in pursuit of prey. It is a fierce predator, and will not hesitate to attack any perceived intruder into its territory, including humans.
