January 14:  Another unusual bird presently at Green Cay is a drake Cinnamon X Blue-winged Teal hybrid, keeping company with a small group of Blue-winged Teals at the far east side of the wetlands. For that matter, any Cinnamon Teal is a fairly unusual sighting in Florida.

The La Sagra’s Flycatcher put on any even better show at around 4 PM this afternoon, perching in the open in perfect light in a tree immediately adjacent to the parking lot.
