Ivoryton, CT – Olive-sided Flycatcher

Olive-sided FlycatcherSeptember 3:  Yesterday morning Andy Griswold reported an Olive-sided Flycatcher at Comstock Park in the Ivoryton section of Essex, CT, and since this is just 10 minutes from home, I went Blackburnian Warbler femaleover there at 7:30 this morning to see if the bird might still be there, and sure enough it was sitting at the very top of the very same dead snag where it had been yesterday. The one other observer there turned out to be Andy himself, so we spent about an hour and a half comparing notes and recording some 21 species, including a Yellow-breasted Chat, and a female Blackburnian Warbler
