May 24:   It was exactly one year ago that we had a Lawrence’s Warbler in Greenwich. Yesterday at Viney Hill Preserve in Essex, CT, less than 15 minutes from home, another Lawrence’s Warbler, keeping company with a Blue-winged Warbler – very likely a mated pair. Thanks to Andy Griswold who first discovered this bird ten days ago and was kind enough to alert me to it. The lighting was poor yesterday, so I went back again today and was fortunate in obtaining a few better photos.
