The rarest of the Galápagos’ four mockingbirds, the Charles Mockingbird is also one of the rarest avian species on earth, with only about 150 individuals believed to still exist. Also known as the Floreana Mockingbird, it is found only on Floreana Island’s two small neighboring islands, Champion and Gardner. The islands are restricted to visitation and the birds can be viewed only from shipboard.
