Widespread across most of North America, Canada Goose is the species familiar to almost everyone and is numerous everywhere in parks, fields, and golf courses where many consider them a nuisance because of their noise and copious droppings. Their honking is a familiar sound as they fly overhead. There are several subspecies of varying sizes, including the parvipes subspecies of “Lesser Canada Goose” which can be 40% smaller than the largest common Canada Geese.
