Dark-eyed Junco – Oregon

ABA 1

(Junco hyemalis)

Compared to Slate-colored and Gray-headed races, the Oregon race of Dark-eyed Junco has more orange-brown color on flanks, and dark gray hood (lighter gray in female) which boldly contrasts with rest of body. Despite its name, it is not limited to Oregon and is found all along the west coast from California to British Columbia.
