Sabine’s Gull is an arctic breeder and is usually seen on offshore outings as a nonbreeding pelagic. It is identified by its small size, contrasting white and black wings, black hood, and its small black bill with a yellow tip. It does not usually follow in a boat’s wake as other gulls habitually do.
