Eurasian Skylark

(Alauda arvensis)

Eurasian Skylark is a somewhat nondescript brown bird except for its head crest, which is not always raised. The species is resident year-round on all the Hawaiian Islands and is also usually a winter visitor to the Pacific Northwest. It is most often seen on open ground.
