Erckel’s Francolin

(Pternistis derckelii)

Erckel’s Francolin is native to the Horn of Africa, but introduced into the Hawaiian Islands in the mid-twentieth century. This member of the partridge family can presently be found on all the main Hawaiian islands except Maui.
