Seaside Sparrow

ABA 1

(Ammospiza maritima - formerly Ammodramus maritima)

The largest and darkest of the original seven Ammodramus genus sparrows, Seaside Sparrow is found only in saltmarsh grass where it is hard to see except when it occasionally perches up to sing its harsh, buzzy song. It is often found in the same locales as Saltmarsh Sparrow.
