Black-capped Vireo

ABA 2

(Vireo Atricapillus)

Black-capped Vireo is localized to areas of scrubby second-growth on the Edwards Plateau in central Texas and a portion of central Oklahoma.  A maddingly difficult bird to photograph, it sings exuberantly, but always from concealment in dense thickets and usually offers only fleeting, obstructed glimpses.
