Gray Flycatcher

(Empidonax wrightii)

Gray Flycatcher can be confused with Dusky Flycatcher or Hammond’s Flycatcher. As with all Empidonax species, voice is very helpful, but Gray is also distinguished by its habit of flicking its tail downward, which is easy to spot in the field.
