Ruddy Ground Dove (formerly Ruddy Ground-Dove) is an uncommon visitor from Mexico to the U.S. southwest. It is smaller than the Inca Doves with which it may keep company and lacks the scales that both Inca Dove and Common Ground Dove have. It has black spots on its wing coverts, a gray head, an all gray bill, and a red iris.
