Golden-winged Warbler has had much of its range impinged upon by Blue-winged Warbler. Like the Blue-winged it prefers immature second-growth habitat such as power-line cuts. These two species hybridize to produce the dominant Brewster’s Warbler and the recessive Lawrence’s Warbler.
