Savannah Sparrow (Ipswich)

(Passerculus sandwichensis princeps)

The Ipswich subspecies of Savannah Sparrow is a pale, heavier variant of this common species. It breeds on Sable Island in Nova Scotia, but can be found in sandy habitat along the northeast Atlantic coast during the winter months.
